If you are considering purchasing trackers in 2022, you should not consider any tracker which operates on a network other than 4G LTE.
If you have existing trackers which are not 4G LTE, you should upgrade now.
3G networks are a dying breed. Verizon's 3G CDMA network is due to shut down by the end of 2022. AT&T's 3G GSM network is due to shut down Feb. of 2022. 2G is old technology, and is now supported only by T-Mobile. 2G coverage is spotty, and it's lifespan is also limited.
